This beautiful silk hat veiling, designed by milliner Frank Olive for Lord & Taylor, was made in Lyon, France in the 1940šs. The snood in this photo shows the veiling on a gold metallic silk organza ground. The little dots are made of silk threads that were attached to the veiling with pieces of pipe cleaner. Barrette size shown: Oblong - 1"h x 4 1/4" w.
